This industrial water chiller is designed for laser processing equipment such as laser cutting, marking, engraving and welding. It consists of a compressor, condenser, throttling device, evaporator and water pump. It delivers constant‑temperature cooling water to dissipate heat for laser machines.

1. Safety Precautions
- All operations including transportation, piping, electrical wiring, maintenance and repair must be performed by qualified technicians. Disconnect power and wait 3 minutes before service to allow internal high‑voltage components to fully discharge.
- Do not operate beyond rated specifications. Keep away from flammable or explosive gas environments. Reliable earthing is mandatory. Never run the unit without outer covers. Prevent water splashing or immersion.
- Transportation tilt angle shall not exceed 45°. Never transport with water inside. Install the chiller on a level surface. Maintain ≥1 m clearance around air‑inlet sides and ≥1.5 m around air‑outlet sides for proper heat dissipation.
- If ambient temperature drops below 0 °C for long‑term shutdown, drain all circulating water completely or add ethylene‑glycol / propylene‑glycol antifreeze (max concentration 50 %) to avoid pipe cracking.
- Clean the air filter screen every week. Wear protective gloves during maintenance; the condenser fins have sharp edges and internal pipes may reach high temperatures.
2. Installation Guidelines
- Standard operating voltage: 210‑240 V. Voltage fluctuation shall be within ±10 %.
- Only use purified water, distilled water or high‑purity water as cooling medium. Oily, particulate‑laden or corrosive liquids are forbidden. Replace water and clean filter elements approximately every 3 months. Add antifreeze under low‑temperature conditions and revert to pure water when temperature rises.
- Bleed air from the water pump after plumbing connection to avoid pump damage. Keep the water level within the green zone on the water‑level gauge. Never start the chiller without water. New units may trigger temporary flow alarms caused by air bubbles; this usually disappears after several minutes of running. Inspect all joints for water leakage upon first startup.
- Select copper wire cross‑section according to rated current. Equip power circuit with leakage‑current and overload protection and ensure good grounding.
3. Controller & Alarms
Model T503D / T504D intelligent temperature controller supports two working modes:
‑ Intelligent mode: Water temperature adjusts automatically following ambient temperature.
‑ Constant‑temperature mode: Factory default setpoint is 25 °C.
Alarm Codes
| Code | Fault Description |
|---|---|
| E1 | Ambient temperature too high |
| E2 | Water temperature too high |
| E3 | Water temperature too low |
| E4 | Ambient temperature sensor failure |
| E5 | Water temperature sensor failure |
| E6 / E7 | Flow 1 / Flow 2 alarm |
Buzzer sounds during alarm. Press any key to mute the buzzer; alarm display clears only after fault removal. Aviation‑plug relay alarm output can interlock external laser equipment, max contact rating: 3 A / 300 V. Factory reset is available. Advanced parameters F0‑F11 can be modified with password access.
4. Maintenance
- Cut off power and wait 3 minutes before any maintenance. Fully drain water for long‑term shutdown in cold environments.
- Remove and clean the dust‑proof filter weekly; blow dust off the condenser with compressed air.
- Replace cooling water and clean filter elements periodically. Before restarting after long idle periods, manually turn the pump impeller to prevent seizure.
5. Troubleshooting
- No power on: Check power cable, fuse and input supply voltage.
- Flow alarm: Caused by low water level, kinked or blocked pipes or trapped air. Refill water, straighten piping and bleed air.
- High water‑temperature alarm: Possible reasons include clogged filter, poor ventilation, unstable voltage, incorrect parameters or excessive thermal load. Improve ventilation and power supply, reset parameters or select a higher‑capacity chiller.
- High ambient‑temperature alarm: Improve site ventilation to keep working environment below 40 °C.
- Condensation may occur when water temperature is much lower than ambient temperature with high humidity; raise set water temperature or insulate water pipes.
- Slow drainage during water change: Make sure the water‑filling port is open.
Important note: Temperature and flow alarms can output interlock signals to protect laser tubes from overheating damage.
